| This is my Oliver Super 99, powered by a Waukesha 6 cylinder gasoline engine. My first "Big" Oliver, I bought it to use on the farm I purchased in 1979. It was my main tractor until the crank went out several years later. I found a new crank eventually, but now I need a set of manifolds for it. In case you didn't notice, it has a set of manifolds I built after the originals rusted through. If you have a set, or know where to get one, contact me at magilke1@bis.midco.net |

While driving back and forth to work as a Pipefitter, from Bismarck to the power house every day, I noticed a Oliver 99 gas, parked along side the road at a implement dealer in Washburn, ND. I thought it would be nice if we ever bought a farm, we could get that tractor. Well, in April of 1979 we bought a farm and the rest is Oliver History. I used it for a few years and then the crankshaft broke. I parked the tractor because I could not find a shaft. Then I found a Oliver 99 Diesel it looked like a pile of junk, but the motor was good. I bought it and stuck the motor into the 99 gas, it worked. When I retired I started looking in ernest and was able to find a crankshaft in Illinois from Korves Bros. I then went ahead and removed the diesel motor from the 99 gas frame and replaced it with its original gas engine and installed the new crankshaft. Oh, the "pile of junk" diesel is now a complete running tractor, just awaiting a paint job.
